Responseto Question One
Iagree that the process of coming up with a prospectus is continuous.I have also had to keep reviewing and rewriting mine. It is also truethat this process has helped us identify our abilities asresearchers. For instance, when writing my paper I realized that I ampoor at connecting ideas. However, the practice during this exercisehas made me a better writer. Now I can conduct a good investigationand write a decent report. Additionally, the critique of the DCNetwork is accurate. Though the system is informative, it iscumbersome. I spent about four hours trying to figure out how itworks. Such time is precious to an investigator. Therefore, thesearch engine should try to make its interface user friendly.
Responseto Question Two
Iagree that this week was not as hectic as those preceding it were. The major task was proofreading the document and creating a finaldraft. Regarding your question, most institutions use the federal lawas a guidance to the period that should be observed before disposingany data. The minimum provided by this regulation is three years. However, some advisers state that an organization may dictate thetime that a record should take to be destroyed (Rouse, 2015). Theinstitutions are allowed to modify the decree provided they do notagree on a timeframe below what is set by the government. Forexample, the Institutional Review Board for Social BehavioralSciences at the University of Virginia demands that some of itsstatistics be stored for five years (“Retentionof Research Records and Destruction of Data.”n.d).Therefore,it can be concluded that period is at least three years.
